“Decoration plates are plates who are decoratively well painted and have a special way to hang them on the wall. The painting is almost more important than the plate.

For me a normal plate is just as well beautiful, maybe even more because of the practical use. To use the nail, you are more aware of the plate and see it better than when it is standing on the table. Next to that the curiosity off the viewer starting to grow in how it is possible to put a nail through the plate. 

Spijkerbord #4 is a ode to the normal things and the proces of letting you see something else then known before”
